Film - attempt to understand why the contemporary architecture of the Netherlands is in the center of the international attention. What is the secret of its attractiveness?

Behind each Dutch project there is a careful research and the conclusive proof of its practical importance for a society, without it's realization is impossible in this country. The new city Almere, constructed on the drained sea-bottom, expansion of a private apartment house by construction small village on its roof, and the floating houses following water flow  and inflow, Pigfarm in huge skyscrapers - improve vital space, overturning standard representations and solving the most essential issues facing to the contemporary person.

Film heroes are internationally well known architects such as Rem Koolhaas, Winy Maas, Jacob van Rijs, Michiel Riedijk, Kas Oosterhuis, Adriaan Geuze, Rene van Zuck and many others. They speak about the creativity and the most important issues in their profession: about the responsibility in front of society. They are distinguished with the general aspiration to investigate, study, get to the point of a subject  and find to it a place in the world.

Their architecture widely presented in film, expresses spirit of the Netherlands - the countries of explorers and experimenters.
